Trade-In Program & Pre-Owned Stereo Components

Stereo Stereo will consider trade-ins for any components purchased from us.

As long as what you purchased is still in good working order and has been reasonably well cared for, Stereo Stereo will be happy to work with you.

However, you don’t need to have purchased your equipment from Stereo Stereo to have your trade-in accepted.

If you bought your stereo components elsewhere, we will consider your trade-in on a case by case basis. Before you approach us to inquire about a trade-in, it’s best to consider the types of hi-fi components we stock and the brands we carry. We won’t accept just any audio product or electronics. Your trade in should ideally be from a brand we already carry, or from one of comparable quality and reputation.

Trade-ins must be within the same product category. For example, if you want to upgrade from your entry-level KEF speakers to a more advanced set of speakers from Wilson Audio or Wharfedale, that’s something we’ll be happy to consider. But we won’t consider trades across component categories—for example, if you have a McIntosh turntable you don’t currently use but you’re shopping for a new Audio Research amplifier, we won’t be able to offer a trade for the turntable.

Additionally, while we are most enthusiastic to trade products made by the brands we carry, we will consider trade-in offers for other high-end audio brands, so long as they’re within the realm of hi-fi stereo components. If you have a stereo system that you aren’t completely thrilled with currently and you want to trade up to something better, get in touch and our owner and resident audio expert Michael Klein will be happy to talk to you.

If you aren’t sure whether we’ll accept a trade, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask! We’ll be happy to speak with you and see if we can work something out.

Get in touch! All you have to do is start a conversation.

Of course, we can’t guarantee that our offer will be acceptable to you, and we’ll need to see your equipment in person before we finalize the trade. But we’re happy to discuss and see if we can make a deal.

Whenever a client trades in their pre-owned hi-fi components, we then have the opportunity to sell that equipment on for a lower price. When you buy pre-owned from Stereo Stereo, you can feel confident that you’re getting an authentic product that has been carefully evaluated, tested and inspected by our in-house audio experts. Plus, you’ll be able to come to our showroom and inspect the merchandise yourself, and audition it personally prior to purchase.

Stereo Stereo is an authorized dealer for some of the world’s best audio brands, but you may be able to purchase used equipment from other brands if we happen to have availability. The best way to find out is to call!

Yes! Stereo Stereo is proud to be an authorized Wilson Audio dealer. That means we are able to sell pre-owned Wilson speakers as part of the Wilson Audio Certified Authentic program.
